I am writing to you all from Prague, Czech Republic in an Internet cafe near Vasclav Namneste. Moving across the world on a whim. What was i thinking?

This is the beginning of my European tour! As soon as British Airways finds my lost guitar, I will be playing shows in cafe's, festivals, and in your living room if you provide the beer. I'll be using Prague as my home base and traveling all over the EU and beyond!

I would very much like to meet and jam with local musicians. Write to me if you want to come out and play, or if you can recommend a venue, promoter or just a good pub.

It has been a long and tiring two months since i decided to move. The end of this stage of my journey was when my head hit the pillow last night. In this time I have:

1. Moved or sold everything I own
2. Canceled all of my memberships, subscriptions and obligations
3. Mastered and reproduced my promotional CD
4. Finished a massive European PR campaign and mailing
5. Had a root-canal and 3 fillings
6. Had heart surgery
7. Invented and built a new technological distribution platform for mobile music
8. Built 3 websites
9. Packed and repacked everything I can fit into one bag
10. Directed and edited my music video
11. Connected with every international friend i can think of
12. Learned to speak conversational Czech
13. Moved across the world with a sprained ankle

Also, my album Slow Mad Descent is now up on I Tunes!

And this is just the beginning...

Yep, you'll definitely be getting a warm reception from the UK....you're welcome here too!

Hey, I don't know if Belgian beer has made it as far as Prague, but if it has, you need to get stuck into some Hoegaarden Grand Cru, and, for something that'll really blow your tin hat off, a couple of bottles of Duvel (pronounced Doo-full). Both are smashing, especially with or without food

Cheers!

Ah yes, Duvel. That is a favorite of mine. You could get it at the supermarket in LA for $8 and it was worth it.

It sounds to me like a beer tasting competition is in order...

Ha, I'm surprised you could get it in LA! That's cool though....you have been initiated! Haha. It's definitely worth paying 8 dollars for, so something of a bonus that it should be much cheaper in Prague

Yes, it is true. Beer is cheaper here which is a mixed blessing (as i write to you with a hangover)...

But a beer drinking competition is definitely in order. I will wear my lucky drinking bib

If you find yourself back in the States (Chicago, more specificially) I have the following:

A large assortment of Charvels, Jacksons, Kramers, Fenders. (and more importantly, two amps)
Directions and transportation to some great beer bars in the city that would knock your socks off with their seemingly endless inventory.  Also, Chicago's own Goose Island, a damn good brewery.
Great pizza.
and... knowledge of several other great pubs and bars throughout the city.

If you happen to be in Anaheim at NAMM, I hope to run into you again.

A trip to ireland wouldnt go unappreciated...

The town of lurgan,  alot of music welcoming pubs/bars whatever you want to call them.

We have a reject music shop with fuck all in it. >_<

We have alot of alcohol..alot.. the towns favorite is a tonic wine known as "Buckfast" you should give it a go.

We actually have quite the Tyson fan club here in lurgan.

A gig in one of these pubs would have quite the turnout.

Not a big town mind you but its one hell of a welcoming town.

my home is always open to you, oh one other thing most of the lurgan women are up for a good time.

So if i were you i'd give it some thought.

We also have some very talented musicians inspired by you yourself.

thanks,

Darragh.
